2009 FIXTURES/RESULTS ARCHIVE

Sunday 19th July saw the third CCCC Don Pert Memorial Kwik Cricket festival with 8 teams of Challows own U9 and U11s competing and despite the rain all matches were completed. This was followed by a BBQ and a lads v lassie match. The ladies won.............
 
This years award winners were
 
U10 - all juniors went through skills awards and were award either bronze, silver or gold certificates.
 
U11 - batsman of the year - James Wiltshire
       - bowler of the year - Ross Packham
       - most improved player - Ben Cox
 
U13 - batsman of the year - Henry Wiltshire
      - bowler of the year - James Smith
      - most improved - James Wright
 
U15 - batsman of the year - George Hook
      - bowler of the year - Conor Jones
      - most improved - Tom Webb

James Edwards scored a fine half-century as Challow & Childrey saw off Eynsham by 31 runs in Section C of the Oxfordshire Under 17 Club Championship.
Edwards, Freddie Walker (40) and Ryan Gordon (36no) helped Challow to an imposing total of 158-2 in their 20 overs. Eynsham were then restricted to 127-9, left-arm spinner Joe Harris the pick of the Challow bowlers with 3-13.
